BCSP’s CSP Credential is Accredited by ANSI

Champaign, Illinois- 4/26/2011- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recognized the Board of Certified Safety Professionals’ CSP credential by awarding it reaccreditation through June 2013.

The CSP is accredited under ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 for personnel certification programs.

ANSI is the primary source for internationally recognized standards in government, business, and professional practice. They are often referred to as the world’s leading accreditation body.

“ANSI’s recognition confirms the CSP credential meets the highest professional standards and administration,” says BCSP Quality Assurance Manager, Christy Uden. “Just as an individual’s attainment of a credential shows that he or she stands out among their peers, ANSI’s accrediting our CSP program demonstrates that it is itself exceptional.”

This is why the CSP is referred to as the “gold standard” of safety credentials.

In a letter to BCSP, ANSI officials credited the organization for sustained efforts in meeting the rigorous requirements of this ANSI standard.

“Meeting ANSI’s standards is a result of our instituting procedures at BCSP which are designed to ensure both quality and growth,” says BCSP Executive Director, Thomas L. Adams. “BCSP is confident that the CSP will consistently be regarded as the safety profession’s premier certification.”
